Midlands Space Cluster visits Airbus Defence and Space

9 SMEs from the Midlands Space Cluster had the opportunity to visit Airbus Defence and Space in February.

We were invited alongside 2 other clusters – Space South Central and Space East to have visit the facility in Stevenage.

The day was tailored specifically to provide SMEs with valuable knowledge on how to work in the space industry and how to collaborate effectively with a Prime (any Prime), including tips on what to look out for

Following a factory visit to see the on-site facilities, the SMEs delivered 90-second pitches before an interactive networking session with the Airbus team. Then the afternoon was filled with insightful space talks.
